SRO Hosting - Premium web hosting services  FAQ - Domain parking

What is domain parking and how do I use it?
Domain parking is the act of registering a domain name, but not actually using it. Rather, the domain is 'set aside' for future use by making it active (valid dns records pointing the domain to a server), but not running a site on it.

Most registrars and hosts offer some kind of parking service. Usually you can tell a domain has been parked when you see a host's "coming soon" or equivalent page instead of an actual web site. Once the site content is ready (or email is going to be used), a domain will need to be 'hosted' rather than 'parked'.

SRO Hosting allows existing customers to park any number of domains (or redirect them to hosted domains) for free. Just ask us and we'll take care of it for you.
